What a fantastic 10 years we have had. Choirs from all over Lancashire have entered our competition and, in 2024, we had 5 regional heats, with 10 choirs going through to the County Final. It is a delight to see and hear the choirs perform and to get to know the teachers and see the commitment that goes into giving the children opportunities to express themselves musically. Some of the choirs involved have never entered a competition before and some of them have only recently been formed. It is evident to us that music education is alive and well in Lancashire.

The Last Choir Singing Competition is the brainchild of
businessman George Critchley, who wanted to give something back to a community that has supported his firm for the last 21 years. Moving forward we are keen to raise awareness of singing in junior schools and to demonstrate that music education is alive and well in Lancashire.
