Blackpool continue cup as Fleetwood crash out

Blackpool came from behind to win at home, while Fleetwood suffered a hefty defeat.

Blackpool came from a goal behind to beat fellow League One side Barnsley 2:1 in front of their home fans at Bloomfield Road. 

The Seasiders fell a goal behind in the first half as forward John McAntee ran onto a long throwball as it founds its way passed reserve keeper O'Donnell. 

A quieter Bloomfield Road, spurred their team on to find an equaliser in the second half, as Albie Morgan's pass found Jason Weir, who ran it towards the byline and square it to a lonely Owen Dale in the 6 yard box. 

Momentum stuck with the Seasiders and it wasn't long until they took the lead in the 62nd minute thanks to Albie Morgan's perfectly weighted cross which found the head of Jake Beasley. 

Blackpool await to see who they play next. 

Meanwhile Fleetwood's poor run of form continued as Lee Johnson's men lost their 4th consecutive game by another 3:0 margin, conceding 10 and failing to score. 

The Cod Army fell behind in the 25th minute, despite some top saves from McMullan, when James Collins put away a deflected effort on goal. 

Things got worse for Fleetwood in the second half when they conceded again to Collins, before Arsenal loanee Tyreece John Jules made it 3:0, sending Fleetwood out of the Football League Trophy.
